Love doesn't cause pain. People with painful behavior cause pain. If you can learn the warning signs of painful/problematic people you can protect yourself. You need to take some time to really get to know yourself. Who you are and your deal breakers. Figuring those things out will really enlighten you and help you towards recognizing real love.
