In this verse Paul tells us the he speaks proudly to other churches about the church in Thessalonica. They are in the midst of persecution and tribulation yet they are growing in faith .

In these two verse we see that the church in Thessalonica was an amazing church. Paul gives thanks to God for this church because they are growing in faith and because their love is growing for each other.

Introduction into the book. Paul compliments them for their faith and love which are growing.

This is an introduction into the book of second Thessalonians. In verse 1 we see that Paul did not write this letter alone and he brought assurance to the Thessalonians by say they were in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Be sanctified complete, spirit, soul, and body.

Don't believe everything but examine it. Then abstain from the appearance of evil.

Don't quench the spirit or despise Prophecy.

In everything give thanks. Not for everything.

In these verses Paul tells us what the will of God is. Rejoice always, and pray without ceasing.
