What if I tell you that I don't feel like I am on any particular diabetes diet because I am still able to enjoy all kinds of foods without any GUILT or shame?
It's true. I really don't. And it's the best feeling ever!
Listen in to this week's episode to find out how you can do that too!

Learning how to listen to your body will be the most important skill you can acquire in order to help you lower your blood sugar and A1C...if you're open to it that is. This whole concept can sound like a bunch of "hocus pocus" or "hippie-dippie crap" that would not work for you... but have you tried it? NO? Okay, then you really can't say that it doesn't work!
But really, be open to new ideas and learn as much as you can about your body! It will only help you reach that A1C goal even sooner!

Having high blood sugar is just one piece of the puzzle for most type 2 warriors. Most often they are also living with other chronic conditions that might have been neglected during the process. This episode will highlight some of those conditions and provide you with what actions you can take in order to truly take care of your health as a whole.
If you're ready to embark on this self-care journey, then let's do it together!

I have been getting a lot of requests to create more content centered around how to balance blood sugar after a meal - so I made this episode! We'll be talking all about what kind of foods you can eat to keep your blood sugar at a steady increase/decrease instead of that high spike and hard crash. Sounds like something you'd want to know more about? Well go ahead and start listening!

If you think diet alone will help you lower your A1C consistently...think again...
Yes, diet is very important but so is everything else you're doing to your body and mind. This episode talks a little bit about what other things I did to even start my journey with prediabetes. I think this episode might be the most important one yet!
Keep an open mind (as always) and let's get to work!

So, you have diabetes type 2, what are you supposed to do when you are surrounded by sweets treats and other delicious foods at family gatherings and holiday parties??
Should you skip your regular meals so you can fit all your carbs allowance in later?
Should you avoid celebrating altogether so you are not tempted to eat what you're not supposed to?
Are you feeling FRUSTRATED and CONFUSED during the holidays because it seems like everywhere you look, there are things your doctor told you to avoid?
This new podcast episode will show you how to enjoy your holidays dinner with diabetes without having to give up your favorite treat!

Are you still cooking multiple meals for your non-diabetes family members? Or are you still trying to make your family understand what you're going through with your chronic condition?
It can be frustrating when you're so busy but you still have to make accommodations for your family or try to explain what's going on with your Type 2 journey.
In this episode, you'll learn how to help bring your family closer to understanding your condition so you can take back your free time and reduce stress.

This is not a new topic perse, but it is a good one to return to with a deeper dive now that I had my own personal experience with it. Since I would not want anyone to eliminate all things they love even with their chronic condition, I would not want that for myself either. So, I went on to enjoy the usual desserts that I would have during the holidays to see how that would affect my A1C...
As you all know, my result came back positive (the good kind of positive!). I lowered my A1C from 5.7% to 5.4% even with all the yummy treats I was able to enjoy. And if I can do it, then you can do it too! But how you asked?
I answer this in great detail in this episode that you're about to listen to... So, let's find out!

Now that you've learned what part of your diet could be causing your insulin resistance, it's time to apply that knowledge!
In this week's episode, we're going through my own diet and pinpointing exactly what I changed and how I navigated that change. Realizing that any changes will not be the right fit for you or your body will help you keep an open mind before going into this episode. What was conveyed in this were merely my own experiences that led to my results. Please consult your health care providers before starting any diet changes to make sure that it is safe for you.
With that said, I invite you to take a journey with me through the first 6 weeks of my insulin resistance/PCOS nutrition process and learn how I dropped my A1C to normal range (and lost 4 lbs!).
