We continue in our vision series and today we will look at the Encourage portion of the vision God has given us here at Thrive. We will look at how to encourage others as well as our own need to be encouraged.

Today we start our vision series and will look at the Embrace portion of the vision that God has given to us as the body of Thrive Worship Center. We will look at the why's, how's and who needs to be embraced. We will also look at our own personal issues we have with embracing others. What keeps us from embracing others? How well does our life match up with the example Jesus Christ gave us?

Today we will continue in our Advent series and we will look at the love portion of Advent. What does God's love look like? Do we try and reference our own understanding of what love is when we look at His Love? What should His love in us look like to the world around us? For it to be correctly expressed, we have to believe He loves me as an individual first. We have to be able to receive that love that is freely available to us, that is unconditional. Part of expressing love to others, is to love ourselves, even in our stuff.

We continue our series on Advent. Today we will look at Joy. We need to remember joy and happiness are different. Happiness is typically dependent on our circumstances. Joy on the other hand shouldn't be dependent on our circumstances, but sometimes it is. . What are somethings that can steal our joy if we are not careful? Just as importantly, what are those things that can help us keep our joy in difficult circumstances?

We will look at Peace today in our Advent series. Peace, what does that mean to you today? Is it based on our circumstances or is it available all of the time? What can cause us to loose, misplace our peace? How do we get it back even if our circumstance don't change? Let's see what we can learn about this as we listen in.

Today we will look at how we have hope because of Jesus. There is a difference in a spiritual definition versus the worldly definition of hope. A spiritual hope is all about our assurance of God's faithfulness, but a worldly hope is simply just wishful thinking. So how can we maintain our grip on this hope, while living in a world that can sometimes feel hopeless? Let's listen in and see how we can apply today's message to our lives, to identify the areas we can feel more hopeful in.

Thanksgiving starts with a grateful heart for what we have been given. It should also flow out to others when we give them thanks. So why are we not as thankful at times in our lives? What are those things that can make us ungrateful? What helps us to be more thankful? Let's get some insight to this subject as we listen in.

We have heard the term "to follow Christ" when referencing a Christian's spiritual walk. But what does that mean? How do we do that? Pastor Marcus gives us some practical application to how this done.

As we close our our series, 13/8, Pastor Scott dives into how Jesus is our Soon Coming King. We're encouraged through Scripture to eagerly anticipate the day He returns, but until then to love to those around us, knowing that the Lord desires for every person to come to know Him.
