This year marks a major milestone for a Clare-based initiative that’s been making a real difference in the lives of people living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Thriveabetes — founded ten years ago by Gráinne Flynn and Christine Meehan, two women from Clare who live with the condition themselves is celebrating its anniversary with a free event open to people with Type 1, as well as their parents, carers, and supporters.

The focus this year is on mental health and emotional wellbeing, with the conference titled “Thriveabetes Mind Matters.
