Biography
Benton Ryer is a modern mystic, healer, and author specializing in Japanese esoteric Shinto practices and energy healing. Born in California and raised partly in Japan and other parts of Asia, Ryer claims to have been "born with abilities" and began exploring the occult and metaphysical arts at a young age. He developed a unique spiritual practice rooted in ancient Japanese purification rites (misogi) and now offers daily remote healing sessions, often free to the public via Zoom, Instagram, and YouTube. His work has garnered hundreds of testimonials from participants reporting profound physical and emotional healing, setting him apart as a widely respected figure in alternative healing circles. In addition to his healing practice, Ryer authored The Shores of Eternity: A Memoir of Sorcery, a metaphysical coming-of-age story based on his early experiences with the unseen world. He has appeared on numerous spiritual and paranormal podcasts, including The Skeptic Metaphysician, Grimerica Outlawed, and Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio, where he discusses topics like magick, soul contracts, and Shinto-based rituals. Ryer also speaks at conferences such as the Biomed Expo and teaches protective and intuitive techniques to spiritual seekers. Through a blend of traditional mysticism and modern outreach, Ryer bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary spiritual needs.
