Welcome to Deep Thoughts with Through Brown Eyes. We legit switched on the mic and the camera, and low and behold ended up creating a whole episode. This is an uncut, unfiltered episode where we spoke what was on our minds. The convo switched from deep to fun real quick and covers all things relationships and our views on them. We even turn into Agony Auntie Ji's and give our not-so expert advice on other people's relationships- who even are we anymore!? WE HOPE YOU ENJOY!!
This episode focuses on polyamory and the impact it has on relationships, children, and lifestyles. Karina gave us homework to watch two videos that focus on this topic, one is very WEIRD so, we would strongly advise watching them before tuning into this episode as we refer to them quite a bit (links below). We lead on to converse about the possibility of exploring polyamory and whether spending £200 on SMASH burgers is too much! The vibe of this episode is pretty chill as we discuss this controversial topic so, enjoy!
In today’s episode, we speak about the ‘Instagram life’ that is shown to social media users day in and day out and how real we actually think it is. We explore our pathways into how we want to live our own lives and also discuss ways in which we do this. An episode inspired by Steven Barlett... we hope you enjoy!
Welcome to episode 35! We watched an interview of a Caucasian gentleman in Oldham telling a reporter he does not like living next door to Asians, so we thought it would only be right to explore the reasons of why Racial Segregation still exists within the UK and how we can help to combat it. We conversed about this through many different areas such as: places we live, places we work, places of education and even within the entertainment industry. It's crazy to think of the many ways segregation takes place within our day to day lives and how a lot of us do not notice it exists.
Welcome back guys. In today's episode we discuss the most-awaited time for everyone in the UK... POST LOCKDOWN! We exchange views on how we are feeling about it, what we are most looking forward to and share our motives for summer time. On the talk of summertime we revisit our past holiday and share some of our funniest memories together, whilst also reminiscing on some memorable individuals. We hope this episode pumps you up to have the best summer (should Bozza come through) and make some everlasting memories- its the least we all deserve after the past year.
On 3rd March 2021, 33-year-old Sarah Everard disappeared in South London. Wayne Couzens, a Metropolitan Police officer with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection unit, was arrested in Kent, firstly on suspicion of Everard's kidnapping and later on suspicion of her murder. Her remains were found in the woods near Kent. Couzens was charged with kidnapping and murder two days later.
Today we discuss- the tragedy of Sarah's death and the outrage it has had on women in the UK and worldwide. Women being harassed and experiencing gender-based injustices is nothing new within our world- however the time has come (once again), where women have had enough. We explore the many reasons of why women are not safe and we also explore how men have a role to play in relieving the fear instilled within women. The controversial hashtag: 'Not All Men' is also spoken about, as well as discussions regarding whether things will ever change.
Rest in paradise Sarah Everard.
Welcome to part two of our realisations episode! In today's episode, we continue the topic and explore realisations about how to act, respect, and choose your battles wisely when it comes to certain situations. Realisations into how children behave and are aware of a lot more than we think also came into talks- and we talk about how we went through similar experiences when we were children. Lastly, we really dive deep into the topic of being 'unconventional' and the consequences of being too 'conventional' in our community. A very insightful episode ahead- we hope you enjoy!
Welcome to part one of a two-part episode for you guys regarding our 'life realisations'. We have had many discussions off the record about this and thought it was finally time to explore these thoroughly and open the discussion with you guys too. We express how things have changed as we have grown up, what our beliefs are now, and the ways in which we can all live our happiest lives. Things get deep when we express family relationships, outgrowing friendships, and realisations that have left us to feel a sense of guilt.
We had the lovely Rubina join us on this very special episode. Rubina is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Women of Colour Empowerment Coach (amazing, right?), who helps us to understand a number of issues within the POC/South Asian community. We talk through Rubina's career choice, breaking intergenerational cycles, and dive into the matter of 'shame' thrown upon women. We also cover the role of men and how they can help women become their true selves, as well as be an ally to help break these cycles. Rubina also enlightens us on the process of energy healing- specifically Reiki and how it is beneficial with the healing process of one's self. Stay tuned to collect some quotes and gems from our girl and we hope you feel as empowered as we did at the end of the episode! A big thank you to Rubina for kindly featuring on this episode and helping us to raise awareness and open discussions regarding these topics.

In this week’s episode, we wanted to go for a chilled-out vibe as our last episode was pretty heavy. The topic for this week is self-care and we discuss its importance as well as what we do to look after both our physical and mental health. We also touch on elements we want to improve and we finally had the courage to open up about probably one of the most taboo topics ever: THERAPY! Just to add some extra juice; Karina thinks she's Annie in this episode.
