Examine your testimony and remember it is present. Our testimonies are always growing, they are not left in the past.

Create a community of support. This doesn’t have to be many, but a couple trusting and loyal friends that will lead you back to Jesus on those harder days.
Shea explains how we are equipped to fight the enemy & battles before us. The tools we have are freely given to us by God. They are far more valuable than anything this world could offer in resources or wisdom. It is God's holy Word. That is our weapon & defense. We simply have to pick up the armor of God and wear into any battle thrown at us. God is on our side. And, we have a spiritual one, the Holy Spirit, who is living inside of us.

Emily sits with her sister-in-laws as they walk through their mother’s cancer journey. Though her story didn’t end in the way they hoped, Ellen ultimately got the healing they had prayed for when she passed to live with Jesus. In this episode, the Davis sisters dive into the beauty amidst this painful experience, while they reflect on the time they had with Ellen before she passed. From Ellen’s cancer diagnosis, shaving her head, dealing with the COVID pandemic, having a wedding, to raising families, the Davis sisters chose to worship through it all. Looking at it to this day, they can see the legacy Ellen left behind, and the fruit God brought from her life. They hope you choose to see the goodness of God even in the midst of your dark time.
Advice from the Davis Sisters if you are walking through a heartbreaking time:
You are not alone. Find someone to talk to. Plug into community & surround yourself with people who will support you in your hardest moments.

Live everyday like it is your last. We can’t take anything for granted. Make everyday count, capture the memories, take the pictures, and remember that this life is a gift.

Process through the feelings. It’s okay to work through the emotions.

Find the answered prayers in the chaos and hopeless situations. Catch the glimmers of beauty even when it is dark. You get to choose how you reflect on hard times, but God is always there.
Keep worshiping. Remember, what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it for good.

Emily welcomes Carissa Lovvorn onto the podcast! She is an author writing for Christ while balancing being a mom. We are so excited for you to hear from her and gain any wisdom you can from her story.
Carissa challenges listeners to examine their seasons. Oftentimes we feel like we’re in a passive season. One that feels wasted or stagnant. Carissa opens up & shares how that can actually be a season of trusting. It is necessary to walk through those seasons & take steps towards preparing for what God has next for you!
Are you in trusting season? How are you trusting God in it? Where do you need to be preparing your heart for His bigger plan?
Carissa offers a couple pieces of advice in this episode:
As a mom, she encourages other mothers to enjoy the little things. Take time to slow down, sit with your kids & appreciate all the small details. Let them be little. Let their creativity flow. Be silly with them.

Model for your children what worship and prayer looks like.

Remember, in the hard times, God is still there with you. Keep leaning on him & trusting His ways.

Follow your dreams with Christ. Be proactive in how you are pursuing them.

She expresses how she found delight in that obedience to Christ. Christy Fuller joins the podcast to share her transformation and faith journey. Christy explains how she prayed for God to clean out her life. Sometimes we need to cleanse our hearts and remove what isn’t of God. Christy found herself in a season of being alone and in that she realized, God just wanted to be with her. God just wants a relationship with His children. He wants to hear every thought on our mind. Christy encourages us to open up to God so He can take us through a healing journey. God was working in her and revealing things when she shared her heart with Him.

Christy expresses the challenges from the world that she faces in her freedom. She acknowledges how easy it is to fall into a busy mindset. Sometimes we don’t want to talk to God, yet He still finds us in our lowest points. He wants to spend time with you. He will meet you in that season.

Fruits from her obedience to God:
Reconciliation of relationships and past mistakes.

Realized her true Identity in Christ.

Recognition of gifts from God in her life and personality.

Complete peace in her mind and circumstances.

Advice from Christy:
Be still and give God your all.

Sit in spaces where you are surrounded by positive influences.

Don’t sit in the mess of your mistakes or bondage. Let God transform you.

Get involved in Godly community.

Be open to what God has for you and how He can work through you.

You have to get to a point where you are filling yourself more of God than anything else.

Get to the root of your issues. Don’t let the weeds regrow.

Be vigilant and disciplined in your healing journey. Choose freedom.

Communicate with God. He wants to hear from you.

Encouragement:
If we look around, we can see God in everything. All things worship Him.

Be reverent in your worship.

Worship is freedom. We must learn to worship freely. If we stop putting up masks, we can fully surrender to raw, authentic worship. It’s time to be real with each other and God.

When entering worship, leave everything at the door and just be with God.

It’s okay to have fun while living for Christ.

She dives into the truth that our home is the most important area to pour into. The future starts within our home and we get to stand in agreement with our spouse to create the standard and be the gatekeepers of our home.
Systems & basic routines are vital to the home life.

Discipleship for your kids is your responsibility.

Everything you do with your child outside the home, is supplemental to what you do at home.

There are tons of resources available for parents, you just have to do the research.

We are gatekeepers of our home. You have the opportunity and the privilege to decide what comes in and pray that what goes is a reflection of that.

Being aware of like how we're spiritually guiding our children is really important and it morphs, translates, and grows over time.

It starts with addressing our personal needs as parents and what needs healing. If there's unaddressed areas in us, that is going to limit our kids.

There are things in our generational bondage & things that if we don't deal with it, it's going to pass on. Our kids are going to have to deal with it. The words we use, our tone of voice, the music we play, products we use, using oils versus burning chemicals. It's all part of creating an atmosphere that's life-giving for our kids.

It is so important to disciple your children and cultivate that atmosphere of worship and conversations and being available for conversations.

Mentorship in your life is so important. Learn to connect with real people and ‘rub shoulders’ as you walk through life together.
Take a minute to listen in and glean off of her life story. It was an absolute joy to have her on the podcast.
