It was a banner day for housing discussions in Moab on Wednesday. First, the Moab City Council passed a requirement that new multi-household development in some residential neighborhoods include workforce housing. The ‘active employment household ordinance’ passed after 10 months of deliberation. Second, community members gathered to strategize solutions around housing and the workforce as part of the city’s strategic action plan process. Third, Grand County held a public meeting about ‘alternative dwelling developments’ for the local workforce including tiny homes, RVs and other vehicles.
