The restaurant scene in my town is incredible - creative, diverse, and always changing. When out to dinner one night, we happened upon a very simple condiment with an equally simple - and delicious -  twist. Salt, wine, herbs, oil... and bread. Let's talk about ancient things with some Creativity applied!

Today I watched a TED talk by a young man who organized an art show of 100 artists from all kinds of backgrounds. There's a twist, and we're going to talk about it on today's show. I'm thinking in broad terms today, but there will be Herbs. At least a little. ;)

I'm up out of deep water to talk to y'all today - there is nothing quite like being in Creative Flow! So, let's just Ramble a bit today, shall we?

I missed two weeks' worth of shows. Missed them. Not by plan, not on purpose - I was painting! So this week I'm going to talk about the How and Why of that, the reasons that a creative activity can cause us to totally tune out the rest of the world.

And, as promised, we'll talk a little more Lavender. I'm setting a timer for the first half of the show, so I don't forget... ;)

Lavender is at the top of the "short list" of my favorite herbs, and I'm always looking for new ways to bring it into my everyday life. Today I'll be talking about the ins and outs of growing this beautiful, useful plant and brainstorming a little for some crafty ways to use it around the house.

No specific topic for today's show - let's just take a little wander through the garden on the way to making supper. ;)

It's springime in my hemisphere and the herb garden is starting to fill in. Today we'll be talking about some of my favorite drinks - grown-up and otherwise - that get a zing from fresh herbs.

It's late April, and the thoughts of many in Kentucky are fixed upon the first Saturday in May, when the Kentucky Derby is run. It's the season for entertaining here as our state fills with visitors from here, there, and everywhere. My home will be hosting some out-of-town guests and a small party on the day, and I will be thinking out loud today as I walk through my menu planning. Come on along. :)

Life has been hectic here for the past few weeks. No one thing, but several hitting at once (as often happens in the Spring). Today I'm remembering something my Mom used to talk about - taking a "P.A. Day". P.A. stands for "Personal Attention", taking time to stop and simply take care of the person closest to you. (That would be your precious self!) Come join me for some ideas and a little bit of planning - guys welcome, too! You don't have to be female to pamper yourself a bit. ;)

After a few weeks' hiatus, I'm back in the radio chair. It's April here, and time to get the herb garden into gear. In today's show I'll be going back to some of the basics of herb gardening and use. (And probably some other stuff as well, hah!) ;)
