This week, Season 9 continues as Frankie and I discuss the 6 "Soon-to-be Hits" making their debut on the Hot 100 Chart; 3 of these would hit #1...also, Frank as a great "Guilty Pleasure" from Eddy Grant (1983); Tim's is a #1 from Wham! just a year later! We'll take a new look at Crosby, Stills Nash & (Young) as this week's Featured Artist. And keep in mind, we're just a little more than a month away from our "Big 3rd Anniversary Show," set to air on Nov. 27th.

Smokey Robinson & The Miracles are this week's Featured Artist! Frank & I are excited to bring this one to you--Smokey got together with members of the Miracles back in 1958, and stayed with the group until 1972. Also this week, Frank has a terrific "Guilty Pleasure" as do I from the mid-60's. Keep in mind, our "BIG 3rd Anniversary Show" is just a few weeks away; it's set to air on Nov. 27th.

This week, one of the (if not THE best) female voice is our Featured Artist--a new look at Linda Ronstadt! We'll also have a couple of cool tunes by The Sweet in our "Guilty Pleasures" category! Tim's was a staple of the middle school dances back in the day...also, it's David Bowie vs. Nirvana in the "Cover vs. Cover" this week. Enjoy!

This week, Frank and I take a fresh look at one of the best of the late 70s'/early to mid 80s--Fleetwood Mac! We'll also let you know what Christine McVie's real name was...clue: it was a "perfect" name! Also, we'll have a terrific "1 Hit Wonder" from early in 1966 as we begin to expand our search of those great hits of the past. In our continuing segment, "Little...BIG!, I'll tell you about Ralph McDonald, a prolific bass guitarist who was also responsible for co-writing the hits "Just The Two of Us" and "Where Is The Love." Neil Diamond is our Featured Artist (for the first time!)...also, we're excited to bring you a couple of great "Guilty Pleasures," including one from the Summer of '72 and the Carpenters; one of the early power ballads. There are 6 "Soon-to-be Hits" debuting this week in 1974, including "Back Home Again" by John Denver, which would hit its peak later that fall at #5. We also have "Tracks of my Tears" as our "Cover vs. Cover" this time around...Smokey Robinson & The Miracles vs. Linda Ronstadt. On this Labor Day, Frankie and I take a fresh look at one of our favorite artists--Jackson Browne! Also, our "1 Hit Wonder" this week comes from 1969 with a song by the Youngbloods; a great "Guilty Pleasure" is on the way as well, also from '69...and Frankie continues his countdown of the Best years in Rock; this week #11. Enjoy!!

JT (James Taylor) is our Featured Artist for our 2nd episode of Season 9! Frankie gives us a great "Guilty Pleasure," which is actually a #1 Disco hit from 1974; Tim's is one of the early "Power Ballads" from the Mindbenders. This week, we debut a brand-new topic--"Little Known Recording Artist...BIG contribution".
