Why did Jesus feel forsaken by God on the cross when he said, “My God My God, why have you forsaken me?” Did he feel alone for that one brief moment?

Question 2

A person that I know had a 15-year-old daughter who was in an accident and placed on life support. When it became clear that she would not recover, the family decided to remove life support but before they did so, they had her baptized so she would go to heaven. Is this true? I can't find anything about being baptized like this in the Bible without accepting Jesus and asking to be baptized. Are the last rites biblical to go to heaven?

Over the past several years I have developed an understanding that there is nothing more important to do than God's work. I have been experiencing a feeling as though I should prepare to go out and speak the news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was reluctant to follow this calling for "worldly reasons". In 1 Samuel 25: 42-44. Why is David able to marry Abigail and Ahinoam when he was already married to Saul's daughter Michal. Why was David able to marry other wives? Let alone have multiple wives.

When reading through Exodus chapter 4. I am confused by God, what does “sought to kill Moses” mean? I understand God’s anger at Moses for not having circumcised his son according to the covenant with Abraham, especially in light of the leadership role that God was imparting onto Moses. But if God really wanted Moses dead, I’m pretty sure that Moses would have been toast at that point. Am I missing something significant in the text?

I have a friend who was talking to a group of us about a medium that she was "dragged" to by a friend. She is a Christian and was a skeptic of mediums, psychics, etc but when the medium spoke of her father that passed about 4 months ago, she got goosebumps and was blown away. Another friend asked her if she would ever go again and she said yes absolutely. This is deeply concerning to me. Could you speak to this, What are the dangers of talking to mediums?

I just got pulled into a meeting with my boss and HR and was told that I’ve had multiple complaints filed against me for talking about religion and making people uncomfortable at the workplace because I have discussed my religious views. I’ve been told I must stop all conversations pertaining to religion and it needs to strictly be kept out of the workplace. Do you have freedom of religion at work? And what to do if they are asking to remove that?

Could you please break down in the Bible our church’s doctrine behind leadership only being men/no women preaching the word from the pulpit? Is it okay if women preach? Is there a place for anointed teachers and preachers that are not men to share timely messages? I trust leadership and I want to get under authority.

Can you explain 1 Corinthians 7: 13-14? "If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy."

Does this mean that your non-believing spouse can be saved through a believing one? And how does that apply to the children who are “unclean”?

1 Timothy 3 talks about elders' and pastors' qualifications as being the husband of one wife. Does this mean if that person was divorced before he was saved he can’t be a pastor or a deacon? Are there biblical qualifications for divorce? I found out my parents left their church because the pastor was divorced before he was saved and they said they left because he was not the husband of one wife. Can you be divorced and still preach?

In Luke 23 :43 Christ says to the thief "Today you will be with me in paradise". Why did Jesus say paradise and not heaven? Are “paradise” and heaven the same thing?

We put our children (5 and 7 yrs old) in a private Catholic school to avoid public school for many reasons. Is there anything we should be on the lookout for with respect to teaching that may not align with our biblical values? is it safe to send your kids to public school?

Can you please explain what Christ was doing in 1 Peter 3: 18-20 and Ephesians 4: 8-10? what happened after Jesus died on the cross? Where was Jesus during the 3 days between His death and resurrection?

I grew up in a Pentecostal church where it was a normal thing to “fall in the spirit”, where you would literally fall to the ground from being so overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit. Now as an adult, I’m curious to know if this has any biblical backbone to it. Is “fall in the spirit” biblical? Thanks!
