Does human consciousness affect quantum systems? The Global Consciousness Project collected 25 years of data from 70 sensors and indicates it does. Dr. Roger Nelson discusses the original project and new GCP 2.0 network.

The Global Consciousness Project started in 1998 and monitors the effect of widespread human emotional responses to world events on a geographically distributed network of hardware random number generators controlled by statistically-random quantum diodes.

Dr. Roger Nelson is the Founder & Director of the Global Consciousness Project. He studied physics at the University of Rochester, experimental psychology at New York University and Columbia, and is the author or co-author of 75 technical papers and two books.

Roger was a Professor of Psychology at Johnson State College in northern Vermont, and later joined the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research lab to coordinate research. He created the Global Consciousness Project in 1997, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

Dr. Kass is a graduate of the National War College, National Defense University, holds a PhD from the Kaplan School of Economics and Political Science, and a joint PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.

Nicholas Eftimiades is an American government official, author, and educator best known for his work Chinese Intelligence Operations (1994). Nick’s 34 year government career includes employment in the CIA as a Technical Operations Officer, a Special Agent in the US Department of State, the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and as a Senior Intelligence Officer in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Nick was also a Senior Research Fellow at King’s College War Studies Department, London UK. He has an M.S. in Strategic Intelligence, National Defense Intelligence College; and a B.A. East Asian Studies, George Washington University. He currently works as an assistant teaching professor in the Penn State Homeland Security Program.

Tik Tok is currently one of the largest social media networks on the internet, with over 1 Billion users worldwide and 86.9 million users in the United States, and its parent company Bytedance is currently under investigation by the US Justice Department for "possible spying on US Citizens".

On December 30, 2022, President Joe Biden signed the No TikTok on Government Devices Act, prohibiting the use of the app on devices owned by the federal government, with some exceptions. As of April 2023, at least 34 states have announced or enacted bans on state government agencies, employees, and contractors using TikTok on government-issued devices. At the very least, this means that these concerns are being taken seriously enough to be codified in law,

The 1995 film "Alien Autopsy" raised big questions about the ethical treatment of extraterrestrials, which Steven Firth addresses in his latest paper, “On the Right to Posthumous Bodily Integrity of ETI ‘Biologics’”.

Alien Autopsy is a 17-minute black-and-white film supposedly depicting a secret medical examination or autopsy of an alien by the US military. It was originally presented it as authentic, but later claimed to be a staged reconstruction. The existence of a original footage has never been independently verified, and the film is widely considered a hoax.

Steven Firth's paper is focused on the moral & ethical questions raised by Alien Autopsy, regardless of the film's veracity. He asks what rights EBE's have on Earth, and proposes that a framework should exist for the ethical treatment of all non-human intelligence, regardless of origin.

Steve has a Bachelors and Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada, and for the last 6 years has been a PhD candidate in Philosophy through the University of Helsinki.
