  • Interview with Melissa Dierker of Complete Harmony STL

On Time for Success - Business Owner Moms Edition

This week we are interviewing Melissa Ann Dierker of Complete Harmony STL.

    Get to know Melissa:

Hi My name is Melissa! I am a mom of 3, wife, daughter, sister, social worker, yogi, singer, creator, and the list goes on and on!

I have been working with kids who have experienced trauma, have mental health needs, anxiety, and special needs for over 10 years. My background is in social work where I started out by working for the state of Missouri with kids in the foster care system. I then worked with families waiting to adopt kids from the foster care system. After I had my twins I left the state and worked for a non for profit running their support groups, summer camps, conducting intakes, writing home studies, and doing in home visits all for kids in foster care, who had been adopted, and biological families. Working in the field of trauma and foster/adoption is something that has always been important to me, since I used to be one of those kids myself.

After attending Yoga Teacher Training I realized that I needed to start my own business supporting kids and families by providing movement based services, through yoga. I absolutely love what I do, and the kids and families I encounter! I truly enjoy supporting kids where they are, and seeing how they navigate the world.

My desire is to provide a safe space for kids and families to connect to themselves and the world around them. I enjoy finding new and creative ways to empower kids to find a sense of safety, calm, and self awareness.
