Time of Grace With Pastor Mike Novotny

The Holy Spirit brings us the information we need to know about God and how to navigate the world around us. And we can be absolutely certain that it came from God because the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, who is God. He reveals the truth of Scripture to connect us to Jesus our Savior and then to give us the power to believe it.

The Holy Spirit has been at work since before the world was created, and he is a person of the triune God who was present at creation. He continues his creative and restorative work as he uses God’s Word and the sacraments to create and strengthen faith.

The Holy Spirit has always been the one to give and strengthen faith through God's Word, and he comes with power. He gives us all unique gifts so we can use them to share the news with others--the news that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

In the final message in this series, Pastor Jeske teaches you about the Holy Spirit’s role in grace. It is he who gives you the faith you need, and he transforms your attitudes to follow God’s will, not your own.

Grace is purely God’s gift! Jesus humbled himself so that we could grab on to the riches he brings us: forgiveness of our sins and life eternal. He redeemed us and made us his children. We celebrate that amazing gift that’s ours through faith, and we let that love flow through us to others.

God pours out his creative and sustaining energy on believers and on people who are both ignorant of him and who know about him and don’t want him. He loves them anyway. God’s providing grace is for all, and as his children, we have the honor of being messengers of that incredibly good news.

Jesus came to this earth to give his life as a sacrifice for all people. He came to offer forgiveness and peace and heaven. What a wonderful Savior we have!

Luke 18:31-43; 19:1-10

By performing healing miracles, Jesus revealed who he really is—the all-powerful Son of God who loves us. We too can look to him through prayer for healing now and joyfully anticipate the great healing that is to come in heaven.

Matthew 4:23-25

Jesus’ mission here on earth was in part a teaching mission, and he needed to come to explain the Word of God to people. Let Jesus be your teacher--not just today or in your past--but let him continue to be your teacher and explain to you who he is and what he’s done and how you fit into his plan.

Matthew 11:2-24

Jesus' resurrection from the dead is the heart and soul of Easter. He rose from the dead, and through faith in him, you will too!

1 Corinthians 15:12-20
