As sinful humans we often cling to our worldly life and possessions. A day of accountability is coming and the greatest gift we can give ourselves and our loved ones is to cling to the promise of holiness through Jesus. Only he can guide our way into eternal life in heaven.
A father's role on earth is to love, guide, and take care of his children. God urges his children to listen and respect their earthly parents. Not each of us has been blessed with a good father to look up to, but we know that we have the ultimate father in heaven watching over us.
God gives us the tools to cross the "bridge" into heaven. We are saved through Christ and our mission on earth is to tell others so that they might enjoy heaven too.
God gave us the Sabbath Day to cherish our relationship with him, not as a way to enforce the "no working" rule. It is a day to rest and reconnect with our Savior.
Moses’ mother knew that he was set apart for a godly purpose. She did all she could to protect him and pass her faith on to him so that he could carry out whatever plan God had for him. Mothers play an astounding role in children’s lives, preparing them for the future as well as transmitting faith to them.
Most people don't like to be the one always giving in, always letting other people take the lead. God makes it very clear to us that submitting to him does not make us weak, it makes us strong. His son Jesus was strong as he died for us. We want to show our humility by submitting to the our government or employers. Others can see Christ in us.
We hear the Good Friday rooster in sorrow and repentance. We ignore Jesus just like Peter. We also hear the resurrection rooster. We are assured that because our Savior lives we too will live.
When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the people knew it was time to worship him. Jesus knew it was time for him to die. We are given time to worship and believe too. That time is now. There are those who are wasting their time and not believing. We need to go and tell. Time is short.
We can rejoice when we’re persecuted for being Christian because we’ve identified ourselves with Christ and his forgiveness. God promises to bless us no matter the situation. We can take that suffering for Christ and be overjoyed that we bear the name Christian and that we have a place in heaven with Jesus.
We can praise God through our problems because we have the assurance and hope of heaven given to us because Jesus died and rose. It can be challenging to find the positive, but looking to God for guidance and having faith that he is in control of our lives can bring great peace and joy.
