My classic series rewatch reaches Doctor Who: The Underwater Menace, a rather enjoyable story which seems to get a raw deal for it’s odd ball visuals and possible over acting.
You can read more about the story here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Underwater_Menace and the wife in space blog’s review is here http://wifeinspace.com/2011/06/the-underwater-menace/

Last month I was lucky enough to attend a rare UK cinema screening of two Laurel and Hardy films County Hospital and Sons of The Desert which marked the 125th anniversary of Stan Laurel’s birth, this week’s show includes a report & review of that screening along with news of further Laurel and Hardy screenings coming to the UK later this year.
UK Listeners can buy both of these Laurel and Hardy films on DVD:

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to witness one of the more interesting and entertaining appearances by Tom Baker at a convention in recent years, the event was Folkestone Film, TV and Comic Con on 9th May 2015, he came across as slightly less eccentric but more open and honest. So here it is almost in full for your enjoyment too.
You can see my photos of the convention here https://www.flickr.com/photos/tdrury/sets/72157652125272369

Recently I had a short weekend break in Glasgow a city that still has four Police Boxes on it’s streets so here’s an audio diary of my first visit to Scotland.
Update: Since returning I’ve learned there’s a further two boxes to discover so stay tuned for a follow up show next year.

Doctor Who meets reality TV in Doctor Who: Bad Wolf as shows like Big Brother and The Weakest Link take a sinister turn in the first of a two part finale of my 2005 series commentaries.

A return appearance for the Slitheen in this week’s 2005 series commentary Doctor Who: Boom Town, which showrunner Russell T Davies wrote for Annette Badland and as a character piece it’s one of the best episodes of the season for both herself and Chris Eccleston.

Present show runner Stephen Moffatt’s first script for the new series gets the commentary treatment this week in my reassesment of the 2005 series, Doctor Who: The Empty Child is still appropriately creepy though it’s age does dull it’s surprises.
