My good friend Lara tells the story of her nearly cult-like religious upbringing, two toxic marriages and her evolution from a mindset that blamed herself for being cheated on to one who demands and earns the respect of everyone around her.

  • #2 Marthe and Mia (my Norwegian friends)

Marthe and Mia are two wonderful young women I've known for years, well Marthe I've known, Mia is a new friend. This is a fun conversation we had, we talked about everything from what people in Norway are like to a very interesting discussion about the pros and cons of their single payer government run healthcare system. Enjoy!

I introduce myself and tell my story, briefly introducing my battle with mental health and how I've overcome it and continue to do my best to maintain a healthy outlook on myself, others and life in general. The battle never ends, but talking about it helps me immensely. I hope this can help you or someone you know too. If you're wandering a dark path now you're not alone, and you're not broken. A philosophical razor is a principle or rule of thumb that allows one to eliminate ("shave off") unlikely explanations for a phenomenon. Examples of this include Occam's razor: The simplest explanation is often the correct one, and Hanlon's razor: Do not attribute to malice that which can be better explained by stupidity.

Well now I'm introducing Tindel's razor: Don't assume you know someone based on their appearance or beliefs, and never assume they can't teach you something of value.

Listening to people tell their stories on podcasts has inspired me to keep going during some of my darkest times battling with mental health. I want to create a platform where I can help others tell their stories in the hopes somebody will listen and get the same inspiration I did when they need it most.

This is just a quick introduction and test of my recording software/equipment, I'm figuring this out as I go and I'd appreciate feedback and advice. Thank you, and I hope you'll enjoy the episodes to come!
