Traditionally, the term "tip of the spear" is used by military strategists, tacticians, and historians to describe the sudden and overwhelming use of combat force to pierce an enemy's first line of defense. It's the first and most meaningful action in an offensive. In the business world, executives use it to describe trailblazing businesses and new endeavors. God's people are the tip of the spear: to advance the message of the Kingdom, of His love in anything and specifically, the culture. "He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me." (2 Samuel 22:18)
