The Irish Haemochromatosis Association Launches World Haemochromatosis Awareness Week 1st – 7th June 2021.

The Irish Haemochromatosis Association estimates there are at least 20,000 undiagnosed cases of Haemochromatosis in Ireland.

Margaret Mullett, Chairperson of the Association spoke about early diagnosis, symptoms and affects of the condition.

The centenary of the Modreeny Ambush took place on 3rd of June 1921 during the War of Independence. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a small marking will take place today for the centenary of the ambush.
