    An pensioner living in Tipperary contacted us on Friday to tell us his story of being the victim of an elaborate cyber attack.
    He received a call from somebody pretending to be with his internet service provider and he followed their directions.
    They proceeded to successfully scam him of all the money in his bank account.
    He says he was shocked at how elaborate the scam was, and he joined Fran to explain his experience:

    This Wednesday, November 21st is World COPD Day.
    COPD - Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - is estimated to affect almost half a million people across Ireland, with around 450 hospital entries in this County each year.
    Nenagh man Danny Foley had a major heart attack 19 years ago and then discovered he has COPD.
    He's since gone on to help set up the Tipperary COPD Support Group which offers a range of activities for those suffering, and he joined Fran on Monday's show.

    Despite the insistance of government that they're making inroads in providing housing, homeless agencies say its simply not enough.
    One of our regular contributors Don regularly travels to Dublin to help out with providing food, clothing and chat to people who live on the streets but to really understand their plight he has also 'lived rough' for several days , depending on the charity and good will of others for food and the hope of a dry spot to sleep in some doorway ..

  • Tipp Today Highlights - Marion Kelly's Family Welcome Return of Life-Saving Drug
    The family of a Nenagh woman who died just under a year ago after a trial drug that had turned her life around was withdrawn, have welcomed the news that the drug manufacturer will make it available again.
    'Respreeza' - manufactured by CSL Behring - will now be available to the 19 Irish people who are battling the rare disorder Alpha-1, a antitripsan deficiency.
    Having greatly benefited Marion Kelly before it was withdrawn, she then died of Alpha-1 at the age of 53.
    Her family have spent the time since her death leading the campaign to have the drug restored, and Marion's sister Niamh Kelly spoke to Fran on Friday about how important it is that it will now be available again.
