Brid O'Meara from Aware spoke to us about lonliness, with Christmas proving to be a very difficult time for some people. We spoke to Stuart John Downie about this weekends Tractor run in Carrick on Suir and we spoke to teachers and students from Colaiste Mhuire Co-Ed in Thurles after they were honored with a leading light award for road safety.

We also had TD Jackie Cahill live in studio to talk about water charge refunds. Fine Gael election hopeful Mary Newman announced her intention to contest a Seanad seat and Billy spoke to Fran about his fears as the speed limit at Redmonstown in Clonmel has been increased resulting in dangerous driving conditions at the Redmonstown junction.

    In the final hour of todays show we had our wine slot with Gary Gubbins from Red Nose wine, we had our weekly vet slot with Mairead from Arra vets who answered many listener questions this morning and we spoke to local people in Ardfinnan about controversial plans for the bridge.

    In the second hour of this mornings Tipp Today, we spoke to another listener, Matthew wanted to talk about how funding in other Departments could be used for the payment of vital drugs. He singled out Free Legal aid and said it should be scrapped to free up money. We spoke to SuperIntendant Willie Leahy about driver and pedestrian safety in the run up to Christmas and he had info on some recent incidents which are being investigated. We had our weekly wine slot with Gary Gubbins from Red Nose wine and we spoke to Rita Burke and Simon Molloy who are organising the Santa Dash in Clonmel which is being organised by the South Tipperary Mental Health Consumer Panel.

    In the second hour of todays show, Fran spoke to Aideen Fahy, the daughter of Nenagh woman Marion Kelly who sadly died just weeks after the HSE withdrew a trial drug for Alpha One patients. Aideen and her family are calling on the Health Minister for answers. We spoke to Marian from Meningitis research about the disease as cases are set to increase drastically in the run up to Christmas.
