They also chat about Ronald Acuña’s contract extension and what it means for the state of free agency (it’s, uh, not good), and a minor league promotion involving walk-up songs. Then they throw out some of things in the baseball world they’ve been thinking about in this week’s Three Up, Three Down, including overpaying for ballpark food and Ramón Laureano’s arm. Finally, they check in on the unearned confidence of being A’s and Mets fans in April.

We introduce a new weekly segment called Three Up, Three Down, which sees Alex and Bobby ranking and discussing the people, places and things around baseball that have been on their mind most as of late.
