TMCJ Podcast

Podcast #92: Fair warning, this one starts out a bit dark since I've been reading through the classic Manga Berserk and there are some very, very, grim things that happen in that story (we finish up around 10 minutes in if that's not your thing). We then move into safer territory complaining about social media and chatting about Digimon World (PS1). Then for Segment #3 we try out a quick quiz segment I put together based on the boardgame fact or crap.

Podcast #91: I didn't title this episode like I normally do, largely because we didn't really focus in on one thing or another this episode, we just went where the conversation took us with a few key points to get us started and move us on. We talk about Lego, life stories, the wild success of the new "Ripperverse" comic, a new multiplayer skyrim mod, simulation games like Stardew valley and more!

Podcast #90: This episode its topics all around! We didn't have anything planned for Segment #3 so rather than do something half hearted we decided we had enough to chat about to carry the whole podcast (you be the judge of how true that was). Because our topics broadly fell into positive negative things we split the podcast that way: Happy Topics first, Angry Topics second :-)

Episode #7 of Movie Night had us watching something a bit different, something neither of us had seen before, and something we had vastly different reactions to...The Northman is a movie that movies between a sort of surreal aesthetic and a grim realistic one; it also does an amazing job depicting a very accurate image of what life in Viking culture would have been like (which honestly is what made me interested in it.). Blue didn't like this movie, I loved it, so the debate gets spicy :-)

Podcast #89: This episode we start off talking about Diablo Immortal which of course launches us into a rant about some of the more abusive microtransactions in games. Then in Segment #2 (yes its back for this episode) I bring up the concept of a bait and switch, the new trope where you watch a show to see a well known character and the show ends up being about someone else entirely (e.g. the recent He-Man show on Netflix). Finally in Segment #3 we have another guest on!

Podcast #88: This episode I mess up my own intro, we talk about some truly random topics from the UK (including the Johnny Depp trial results), and then we finish off by discussing Isaac Asimov's book IRobot, which I'd just finished reading.

Episode #6 of Movie Night and this one was a long time coming; Blue had attempted to watch this movie ages ago but due to some dodgy issues with youtube's movie rental service it never happened...until it did! This somewhat infamous classic comedy from the 70s is absolutely hilarious, but if you're a person sensitive to the politically incorrect its probably not for you (you have been warned).

Also apologies for some of the umm-ing and ahhh-ing in this video, due to scheduling issues we had a 3-week delay between watching the movie and actually recording our discussion of it, hopefully it isn't too grating.

Podcast #87: This episode it seems both Blue and I have been watching a lot of TV...I took a trip out to California so I'd watched a couple good movies on the plane, and Blue has been watching more stuff on Netflix...we also go off on a couple tangents, as is tradition :-)

Podcast #86: Blue is back! We start things off catching up on some random topics from the past couple weeks; Blue has been watching Blood of Zeus, I've been playing Northgard, and we have a random chat about mythology. Then in segment 3 we have a very, very long chat about the book "Blind Faith" by Ben Elton, a book Blue has been pushing me to read for ages and one I've been itching to talk about since I finished it!

Podcast #85: This is not a normal episode; Blue doesn't have his computer for a while so this episode is basically a protracted segment 1 with me talking to myself for a half hour. I give an update on the whole Elon Musk Twitter thing since we last spoke about it, talk about some interesting games I've been playing lately, and finish by talking about a book series I've been failing to read lately.
