Since its inception, The Disney Company has sold itself as being the ultimate in family friendly entertainment. That persona is clearly being tested during the Coronavirus Pandemic as the company has made several decisions which are clearly not geared toward protecting families. From it's failed attempts to open its two US theme parks in June, to it's opening and then closing of its Hong Kong park due to a Covid outbreak, it's decision to try and release the first major motion picture, Mulan, during the pandemic and its staff that is increasingly begging the company to take them into consideration before making  decisions, Disney may not be the happiest place on earth. Yesterday, Donald Trump announced that his administration would put pressure on state Governors in order to get them to make certain schools were open in the fall. Nowhere in his comments did he offer any guidance on how these states could do this safely. Today, he took it a step further by threatening to withhold funding for any state that doesn't comply with his request. To add to it, he also disagreed with the CDC's recommended guidelines for reopening schools. Tonight we are going to discuss the White House's reason behind this push and what this means for students, teachers and administrators. Today US job reports claimed that nearly 5 million people returned to work, leading Donald Trump to take a "mission accomplished" like victory lap. The numbers, although encouraging, don't tell the whole story as there are still more than 30 million people out of work since the beginning the pandemic and new studies show that 70% of all people who contracted the virus had one thing in common, they all had gone back to work or never stooped working. Tonight we'll break down the numbers and ask the question, can an improving job market actually lose the election for Donald Trump.  Next we discussed whether people should have a reason to celebrate our Independence Day. Then we welcomed flight attendant, Kyndel Crittendon, who discussed the changes to air travel in the age of the Pandemic. We followed that with a discussion about Hamilton's release on Disney + and whether the musical could have been created during the Trump presidency. We closed the show with a discussion of our panels favorite summer blockbusters of all time.

Polls continually show former Vice President Joe Biden extending his lead against Donald Trump, with many polled claiming that they would rather have a stable White House instead of the chaos that seeming encircles the Trump administration. Today, the European Union listed the countries outside of Europe that were allowed to enter the continent when it reopens tomorrow. The US was not on the list, making the first time the United States has been banned from its allied nations. Over the last 2 days Facebook has lost over 60 billion dollars of its value due to advertisers like Starbucks and Pepsi halting their spending with the social media giant, due to its lack of oversight in regards to hate speech on the platform. Is this the end of Facebook as we know it?
