This episode the original hosts are going to be discussing two horror/thriller films.  The first film came out in 2009 and is widely known for its shocking twist.  The second film is a prequel and just recently got released into theaters and on streaming.  The prequel does a good job adding to the original story while also being a standalone film as well.  It also has a great twist.  The way they are still able to use the original actor is pretty impressive as well.

It's been a long time coming, but we are finally closing in on the end of our current horror franchise.  It has been a long road but the end is in sight.  For being such an iconic series, the movies for the most part are not that good.  The second movie that we did tonight was a bit more redeemable than the first, but that in no way makes it a good film.  There are only three movies left in the franchise, so the next time we come back to the series we will discuss all three.

This episode we are back with our guest host discussing the next film in the franchise.  This is the only movie that had the previous star come back into the role.  We each felt that this was the best in the series so far.  The first film played out on a global scale, the second was a more intimate revenge story, and this film falls in between the two.

We are continuing our journey backwards and have arrived at the year 1987.  Another strong year with a lot of variety of movies.  There was not as much crossover of our lists as was expected, but there were a few that hit each of us.  At the end of the episode one of us gets a little contentious, but overall it was a smooth episode.

For this episode, we decided to take our category podcast in a slightly different direction.  Hammer Films has a massive catalog of movies so we decided to each pick a movie produced by them to discuss.  It was surprising to see that a lot of the movies weren't available on streaming services.  Hammer is best known for their Dracula, Frankenstein, and Wolfman movies, but they do tell several other stories as well.

We are approaching the end of the journey of one of our favorite directors filmographies.  The previous film he did was completely off brand, and this one continues that trend but delves more into the weird. We both agreed the film is underrated, but that being said, it is not an easy film to watch.  We also discuss the trailer for his next film, which recently dropped and we hope to finish up the rest of his movies in time to discuss his newest when it drops later this fall.

This episode we look at another entry in our franchise that is based on a book series.  The actor who plays the main character has been switched out, but overall it seems for the better.  This is a different kind of series in the sense that the previous movie is not necessary viewing in order to understand and enjoy this film.  There will be a few other actors who will play the main character, but this version is usually seen as the best.

This edition of the horror podcast we decided to do something a bit different.  We chose to take a look at two movies based on the same source material.  The first came out in the 1980's while the remake came out earlier this year.  While using the same story, the movies have some vast differences.  Neither are masterpieces, but don't let the critics scores deter you from giving either one a chance.

This episode we keep cruising along (pun intended) with the fourth entry into this franchise.  Many say that this was the start of the reinvention of the series.  We move off of the street racing aspect and go into the realm of ridiculous heists and stunts, and these movies get more and more ridiculous going forward.  That being said, they are relatively enjoyable.

This episode we decided to choose a unique topic that could go in several directions.  The idea of a difficult movie to watch could mean that it is too graphic, too terrible a film, or too depressing.  Two of us chose horror films and the other chose an older animated movie.  All three are good films and very difficult to watch in their own right.
