This week's episode features Dorice Horenstein. Highly energetic and dynamic, Dorice Horenstein is a recognized and praised motivational speaker, author, and Jewish educator. Her best seller book Moments of the Heart: The Four Relationships Everyone Should Have to Live Wholeheartedly was published in 2020 and has been praised by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin as “powerful, beautiful, passionate, spiritual, and well-reasoned.” She has been featured in national magazines as well as interviewed on numerous radio stations and television programs.
Dorice arrived from Israel to the United States in the winter of 1986 with one suitcase, $600 dollars, and no coat! After earning her degree in English Literature and a Certificate in Teaching, she worked in a Jewish education and was the education director of a conservative synagogue for 16 years, until she decided that the world is her classroom! Today Dorice uses ancient yet relevant wisdom, a bit of the Hebrew language, and her personal stories to inspire individuals and organizations to create long-lasting, healthy relationships—starting with themselves!
She resides in Oregon with her husband of more than 30 years and is the proud mother of three happy and well-rounded adult children! In her spare time, Dorice loves hanging out with her family and friends, sharing a cup of coffee, reading a good book, going Israeli folk dancing, and hiking with her four-legged son!
