Remember the days when you’d pull out your handheld device and it had two screens instead of one? That time is seemingly slowly coming to an end with the rise of the Switch and slow death of the 3DS. The Squad looks back on the days of the Nintendo DS. How it preformed as a successor to the Gameboy line, some of their favorite games on the system, and the multitude of version that followed up the original DS.

E3 is right around the corner. Wait, it’s only April. We’ve still got 2 months before E3. That means it’s time for our way to early E3 predictions! The guys let you know what they think is going to happen at this years E3 way before anyone should be talking about such things. Maybe someone will hit the nail on the head this year.

Ever had that realization that you’ll never get to play every game you want to? Sucks doesn’t it? Clearing your backlog of games it perhaps one of the most annoying things we face as players of video games. The Squad discusses how they handle their backlog when it comes to picking what to play next, and when considering what to put on the list in the first place.

For 102 episodes we’ve talked about video games. We’ve decided to take a one episode break and talk about Magic the Gathering for one episode. The Squad bring listeners up to speed on their magic habits, and then delve into our recent experiences with the game.

The Squad is all together is Michigan once again. This time Darren didn’t screw up the audio. We do apologize the video will be a little fuzzy though. Smash Bros has just been announced, so the guys are doing an episode all about the announcement. For ASA we talk about which clones we think would be the best addition to the game. Then we talk about the announcement itself for The Rest Of The Show.

Darren and Tyler are left alone this episode to play with all the cute Dalmatian puppies. I lied, there are no puppies this episode unfortunately. There’s lots of good video game talk though! They come up with some cool ways games could promote themselves for ASA. Then it’s on to what genres of games have been on their radar recently. Fighting, strategy, and more are discussed.

After over two years the Squadcast has finally hit 100 episodes. Don’t think that means things are going to start changing around here. We still bring you as random of an episode as ever. ASA all about Call of Duty, Rest Of The Show covering an upcoming Sonic movie, and a couple tangents to pad the time. Wait, forget about that last part. Here’s to 100 more crazy episodes.

We’re only 1 more episode away from 100 if everything goes well. If history has taught us anything, it won’t go well. Don’t be surprised if the next episode is 99.5. With the Olympics in full swing, the Squad talks about where eSports fits into the puzzle. Should they be added to the games, or get their own events? They each say which 10 games they think would deserve the honor of being an Olympic event.

Christian is on his final secret mission. From here on out Darren will have to come up for a new excuse as to why he isn’t on the show. The 3 other mooks, Darren, Justin, and Tyler, look to the future and talk about how PC gaming will be different. They then segue into the price of gaming for The Rest Of The Show. Is PC gaming still more cost effective with the rising cost of hardware? Would the guys pay $80 for a video game?

J’s experiencing some technical difficulties this week, so he doesn’t make an appearance. That means the 3 other mooks are running things this week. They decide to talk about Microsoft’s pocketbook and how big it is. Will Microsoft buy Valve, EA, or PUBG? The Squad talks about the pros and cons of each.
