Today I watched Prometheus directed by Ridley Scott and starring Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green and Michael Fassbender.

Today I watched the first episode of Saturday Night Live (aka Saturday Night) “hosted” by George Carlin. I draw a few comparisons to the latest episode of SNL hosted by Louis CK. I realize that the “Bill Murray Era” that I refer to started in the second season, but if I remember correctly the show improved drastically in the second season. Here’s something to wonder… who is the standout of the current SNL cast? What era are we currently in?

Today I watched Ancient Mysteries: Dragons narrated by Leonard Nimoy on Netflix Instant Watch. I love learning about stuff like this and I will likely watch it again. Also, in my tangent about sea bound dinosaur descendants I completely forgot about sea turtles. They can’t be the only ones though, right?

Today I watched Indie Game: The Movie a documentary by Lisanne Pajot and James Swirsky.

Today I watched Transylvania 6-5000 directed by Rudy De Luca and starring Jeff Goldblum, Joseph Bologna, and Ed Begley Jr.

Today I watched the pilot episode of NBC’s The Duck Factory created by Allan Burns and Herbert Klynn and starring Jim Carrey, Julie Payne, and Nancy Lane . This show aired in 1984 and only lasted 13 episodes. In this podcast I mention that M*A*S*H, Cheers and Taxi are the only great sitcoms from the 80′s, but to be fair M*A*S*H aired a majority of its seasons in the 70′s and Taxi began in 1978. Then Cheers lasted into the 90′s, so that almost doesn’t count either. Nonetheless, three excellent television programs. Speaking of Taxi, Jim Carrey would later recreate the classic sitcom playing Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon.
