Matt is also on the Board at Paideia School of Tampa Bay, a Classical Christian School that seeks to save Western Civilization one student at a time. Dave walked through the stories of Norman and Cynda Behymer, a widower and a widow, and how God brought them together. They are "Stories of Hope" with the power of Jesus Christ in their lives.

Norman was married to Denise for 50 years, and after her loss, he felt as if he had lost an important voice in his life. Cynda was married to David for 43 years and felt lost and vulnerable, never thinking she would marry again.

Randy Pandis lived in Iran as a young teenager. His dad was a consultant for a company that sold military weapons to Iran before the revolution. Randy gives his view of what Iran looked like in the late 1970's, including the eventual takeover of the United States Embassy on November 4, 1979.

Dave and Randy also discuss the various groups involved in the revolution and how the Islamists eventually came to power. It's very important to know the process to power so it is not repeated in the United States.

He sees the warning signs of an Islamic Revolution and what is developing in Europe and the United States today. Despite the deja vu experience, Randy believes our job as believers in Jesus Christ is to know what Islamists believe, counter those beliefs with Biblical truth, and to lead muslims to Christ.

In this episode of the Today Is My Favorite Day Podcast, Dave discusses the three reasons the ascension (Acts 1) is so important to our faith today.

Dave also explains the "Hammer Illustration" to show how vital it is to our spiritual health.

Dave does use stats from a study by the Center for Bible Engagement, which surveyed over 100,000 people. The results from that study are now called "The Power of 4." When we understand and implement "The Power of 4," we will be more excited and thankful for what Jesus is doing for us in heaven right now.
