Continuing from our last episode, we will see a second cause of burnout, and the second solution for avoiding and recovering from it.
For the next two episodes, we will step into the life of Jesus to observe what to do when we face burnout. We will see two different things that cause burnout, and two different solutions for avoiding and recovering from burnout.
Traditions become sinful when we become more devoted to the traditions than to the truth. That is exactly what happened with the Pharisees and scribes who confronted Jesus about His disciples in Mark 7:1-23. There is much to learn “about” Jesus and “from” Jesus as Dan and Robert discuss how to break from tradition while keeping tradition from breaking you.

“He has his demons.” We might say that about a person’s attitude or addiction but demons really do exist. Jesus’ defeating six thousand demons, found in Mark 5:1-20, makes for an extremely interesting event.
In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus spoke three powerful words in response to the fear of the disciples: “Peace, be still.” Find out on this episode how Jesus helps us to have peace with God, peace with others, and peace with ourselves.
