I fucked around and mistakenly perma deleted about an hour of content during this recording. But Boodah and Ra Ra had enough time for us to run it back. So i apologize for my frustration for the first few minutes. But we turned it around and had some interesting and dope convos regarding new music from Raj, new music from Boodah, and a bunch weird rap music.

We also discuss the desire for Tokyo hiphop shows that only focus on local and independent music. We know how to protect our necks, so play something else, hiphop dj.

Raj is a beatmaker/ musician from Australia. We met when he was competing in a Beat The Best Beat battle shortly after moving to Japan. He's been here for about a year now, experiencing more of Japan and working on his craft.

We talk with him about growing up as a military brat in japan, participating in hiphop culture in the late 90s, making underground rap with a bunch of legendary underground heads like Genelec & Memphis Reigns, Deejaying, whether all of old underground favorites aged well or not. We talk about Coins Bar and the Breakdown Crew and a bunch of other shit.

Hes been rapping for most of his life and a participant in Floridas underground rap scene. Running open mics and throwing shows consistently. Hes opened for some of the dopest emcees to ever do it and hes got an upcoming project with beats produced by Blueprint.
