Michah "Mad Dog Jones" Dowbak is a Toronto based artist and musician. He is 1/4 of the Sideways Collective along side with Coleman Hell, La+ch, and Shan Vincent De Paul.

Coming from an artistic family, Michah has been playing music and creating art since he was a child. That upbringing has culminated in the launch of his first Tokyo exhibition, AFTERL-IFE WORLD, at the Diesel Art Gallery.

His unique style of collage, photography and color manipulation are hard to describe but go check out his Instagram immediately. And if you're in Tokyo, go to the diesel gallery. AFTERL-IFE WORLD is running until November 14th.

We caught up with him thanks to the homie, professor/ editor of the Tokyo Poetry Journal/ emcee extraordinaire, MLS member, Jordan "Eighpse" Smith. (MLS #39)

It was really dope hearing about Michahs process, his upbringing, taste in music, working with his collective and just talking ishness.

Another stupendous episode with another incredible guest!

This week we got Geno into the studio to talk about all of the work he's put into this hip-hop ish!! A Cali-native, he's been rocking long enough to be a part of some legendary scenes and represents his groups, Gray Medium and Mellow Tonin'. We talk a lot of history plus get into the craft of emceeing, and Geno gives us some lessons on having a nice pen game.

This is a dope episode that features a dope emcee that takes his lyrics seriously so enjoy this insight into the mind of a wordsmith! We also introduce a new segment feeling out what percentile an emcee would rank in the top 100. So, y'know carpe diem

"2 dudes, booze, Japan and the news!"

GOT FADED JAPAN is comedy news podcast and one of (if not theeee) longest running podcasts coming out of Japan. With nearly 500 episodes, the show has evolved and changed a lot over the course of 10 years but currently Johnny, Sean, and Tom meet up weekly to get drunk and discuss Japanese news. These guys are wildly hilarious and have had on a impressive number of notable guests including Bob Sapp, Tom Green, Bert Kreischer, and Fat Mike of NOFX. Theyve also had on a few homies such as Cal Combs and Shad AD.

For this episode we linked up with the Got Faded guys to create the greatest swapcast in the history of Tokyo podcasts. We do about 30 minutes getting to know each other, 30 minutes of Got Faded Japan style discussion of some of Japans most salacious news and 30 minutes of Mega Late Show style random questions.

Theres talk of homemade facial cream, kryptonite balls, wholesome Family Mart porn mags, Bob Sapp being powered by little Japanese women and even dodecahedron testicular implants. The homies, Steze and Shad AD, also jumped in on this one as well.

We'll definitely have the Got Faded guys back for an actual episode including musical shares and all that, sometime in the near future. In the meantime, check this out, go find their podcast and subscribe immediately.

Elle Shimada and Abbey Howlett are multi-hyphenate musicians, producers, curators, longtime collaborators and much more. They both come from tremendously interesting backgrounds and found each other within Melbourne's flourishing music community. We caught up to both of them during their Japan tour thanks to the homie, Aaron Choulai.

Together, Abbey and Elle, are third of the Elle Shimada Collective, a 6-piece band. Outside of that they both have separate projects and are also working on a new collaborative project. In this recording we hear an early version of a track they're working on and share some music already available online. We also get into a lot of other discussions such as Melbournes music scene and operating as women in that community, Australian artists emerging within the the global music space, defining music with genre titles, our favorite Bjork albums, why Aaron Choulai is so awesome, and weird music that's cool.

Elle Shimada and Abbey Howlett are incredible. Check them out on Instagram and give them all the likes.

Abram "Ramen Beast" Plaut is one of the world's foremost ramen connoisseurs and has been crushing bowls in Tokyo for over 15 years. He's a restaurant owner and also a developer of the Ramen Beast iOS app.

This is undoubtedly the greatest ramen based hip-hop podcast episode in the history of the world.

We get the Ramen Beast origin story, figure out all the world's problems, and still have time to discuss our favorite Wu-Tang albums.

Shout out to EL EL Jay Cool for coming through the last 20 minutes. Check him out on episode 84.

We're back with part 2 of our episode with guest Neil Armstrong. We recorded so much content with Neil that we had to cut out some just to get it down to 3 hours. Luckily, we had enough to make a whole other episode almost entirely about his time with Jay-Z. We get into how Neil got the opportunity, some tour life stories, what are some things Jay does that no one knows about, and other tidbits from this time in his life. Thanks to Neil for all the time he gave us and the amount of gems dropped!

You can find out more about Neil and his own career on the part 1 of this episode. Make sure to get all of this info!!

A-yo! This episode we've got something special. A pair of illustrious guests from the world of graffiti. Yesca and Remix have decades worth of experience between, and have been getting busy all worldwide having ended up in Asia. Often considered the red-headed stepchild of hip-hop, this element is often overlooked when the culture is considered, but we make sure to take the time to highlight its importance along with the history and contributions of our guests.

Of course, with the unfortunate legality difficulties around graf, its always risky to discuss so openly and shine light on the activities of the participants, so we're expecting all our listeners to #StopStichinStopLyin and just enjoy this premo content. Lots of gems in here. Do your googles,
