Maya Hatch is super dope!

She is a Japanese American singer songwriter and performer thats been honing her craft here and in the states for the last few decades. We caught up with her and her fiance, friend of the show and former guest, MC Boodah to talk about their new collaboration project UNME. As well as a bunch of other stuffs like working on a japanese childrens show, Tiding Up with Marie Kondo, and growing up biracial in Japan.

We also had the new homie M Cleuver of Tokyo Provoke in studio. He had been up drinking for the last 30 hours like a real tokyoite, so pay attention and set goals to get like him. The God is Agile!

Im trash at describing this shit, so just listen and enjoy. Thank you for fucking with it. BLACK History Month!

Mega Late Show OG, Steze, came through a help cohost this one as well. We also continue the ever growing Best album of the last 10 years" debate and added 3 more joints to the list.

Yo peace, you! Another long and action packed episode fo dat azz.

Rank these MCs: Del, Inspectah Deck and Big Boi!!!! Yeah we asked the homie Shux the same question. There is a correct answer and it is not information.

Joining us today iShux Wun. Hes is kinda of a Tokyo Hiphop scene OG. Not in the sense that hes been working in the hiphop scene for decades or is super well known in the scene but in the sense that he was trying to expose the tokyo scene for american audiences way back in the aughts. Its difficult to find anyone else that was really doing it at his level of success. He also used to rock with The Breakdown in Shibuya. BING!

Shux was working with a now defunct hiphop media outlet, IAMHIPHOP DOT COM, interviewing major artists, following tours, and eventually ended in Tokyo working on his project, The Shux Files. He was interviewing and documenting the scene out here in Tokyo way back in the aughts. He probably wouldnt suggest it but you can find a bunch of those videos on Youtube and theyre dope.. We talked to Shux about his life in hiphop culture and some of his experiences interviewing major artists. Working in the tokyo scene with locals and other gaijin mfers. Also we just talked shit about whatever per usual. Shout out to the Breakdown!!!

Shux brought super OG Huntley Nicholas with him. Huntley is a walking history book and did the sound work for the the 1983 documentary, Breakin N Enterin. Which detailed the then newly emerging west coast b-boy poppin and lockin scene. Huntley didnt speak much but were hoping to have him back on the show.

The super elusive mega late show member, D Dahlinger, was also here as usual.

This episode also includes our new segment. An ongoing project to rank and debate the greatest and not so great albums since 2010. Zoom in on that.

Shout out to O-side California, Digital Mozart, and Mike Larry Draw!

Weather Report -

Mike Larry Draw - Kami Noketo ( a currently unreleased track from upcoming album dropping in February)

Bobby Sessions - RVLTN

Episode 60! With Shad AD and Afrodyty

This week were back in full effect with our first guest laced episode of the year! We brought in the new homie, rising emcee, and event organizer, Shad AD!

Shads lived in Japan for years working his craft, performing with Japanese bands and organizing multiple events including BABEL (which featured many of the shows past guests)

It was our first time meeting Sha we kept it hella casual and chopped it up about anything that came to mind.

We also brought in long time friend of the show/singer/ songwriter, Afrodyty. She assured us that she can indeed read.

We appreciate all the likes, listens and messages! Please rate us on itunes and share.

Probably gonna come back and re-title this but because Mega caught the Flu, we had to cancel a recording. Instead we hopped on the phone a couple days later and decided to start a new yet to be titled conversation project.

The idea is that we rank the greatest albums of the last decade based upon their quality, impact, and our general thoughts on the work. We started this recording with three albums and will add to the list throughout the year until we have a definitive list of rankings.

Also we talk about eminem selling the most albums in 2018.

Thanks for fucking with it

- MLS

***Fuck R Kelly***

Were back after a little break with the homies, Steze and Cake. We talk about Hip-Hop in 2018 and celebrate doing two years of the podcast. Thanks to all of our supporters and past guests. Weve got a lot of plans for 2018 so stay tuned in. PEACE!

Weather Reports:

Late - Black Panther Sndtrk - X

Mega - Royce - Cocaine

Steze - Kids See Ghosts - 4th Dimension
