An All-American quarterback, a beautiful coed, and a chance encounter after the game leads to an unspeakable crime. John Knox is pressured to drop the case, but his sense of justice and honor will not let him. But will forces outside his control make the decision for him? 

Lindsey has revealed herself to her parents and the Gemson detectives on her case. But who was in the hotel room if it wasn't Lindsey? 

Knox and Shelley narrow their field of suspects and confront the man they believe killed Lindesy. Mark Rogers brings Lindsey's parents along for the ride, and an unexpected woman makes an appearance. 

Mark Rogers demands answers from Knox, and Knox does not want to give them. Meanwhile, Lindsey's boyfriend Paul Osborne offers some help to the detectives. 

Daniel and Diane Fairbanks have come to Gemson to search for Lindsey, but only find bad news when the visit the Gemson Police and hear the news of Lindey's death from Knox and Shelley. 

Knox has finished interrogating Ethal Coen and must now act on what he has learned. Mark Rogers is leaning on Captain Taylor, and Taylor must turn to an old friend for help. 

Lindsey's parents leave their family farm in search of Lindsey, while Knox interviews Ethel Coen and learns more about Lindey's past. 

Knox and Shelley focus their investigation on Peter O'Toole, while Jim O'Sullivan heads to work.
