Gossip, slander, character assassination -- I hope none of these lies come our of your mouth. You know that would be a sin.
But is it OK to listen to gossip, slander and lies? Absolutely not!
But many of us do listen to lies quite often and we do nothing about it. We allow the lows to corrupt us.
Join us for today's  Daily Word & Prayer to learn about one of the most common sources of lies we tolerate, but shouldn't.

Jesus often referred to the abundant life in terms of fruit.
We are all to bear fruit (John 15:4).
The Father then prunes us so that we will bear "more fruit" (John 15:2).
He is glorified most as we bear "much fruit" (John 15:8).
Which of these terms would you like to describe your life -- fruit, more fruit, or much fruit?

Do you boast? Be careful. Boasting can cause you to lose friends, and even worse, it can draw the opposition of God!
But if you must boast, there is something you are encouraged to boast in -- the cross of Jesus Christ!
