In which we discuss our excitement around some new Harry Potter TV series casting news, Gigi Paris's Interview on the Too Much Podcast covering her breakup with Glen Powell, the phenomenon of attractive young women dressing in bald caps to go see Pitbull in concert, positively arresting images of Harris Dickinson in the latest Rhode campaign, the latest rumors about Jannik Sinner's love life, our nerves around thigh expectations placed on Jack Draper as we head into Wimbledon, and a revisit of what's at stake for Max Verstappen now that he has 11 penalty points. For the US vs UK topic of the week, we discuss the concept of knighthood vs the presidential medal of freedom (which Sumner called the congressional medal of freedom the entire episode, sigh). We also touch on Alexa's aversion to central air conditioning. In content Alexa reviews Ginny & Georgia Season 3 and gives her final verdict on Mobland. WE finish with the Wicked: For Good and The Summer I Turned Pretty S3 official trailers.
In which we discuss the reason for Sumner's gross voice and our shorter than average episode, the blissful we had on the internet while Tr*mp and M*sk were fighting, Sabrina Carpenter's latest single, "Manchild," which couldn't have come at a better time, our reactions to Lola Young's sexually daring single "One Thing," and the double-standards in audiences responses to explicit music. On the sports front we react to the most recent "10 Hottest Men in Professional Tennis" poll and we cover both the women's and men's finals at Roland Garros including Sabalenka's disappointing remarks in the post-match presser and one of the best matches we've seen in our lifetime: the besting of Jannik Sinner in a 5-set tiebreaker by Carlos Alcaraz. On the content front, Sumner has finally watched One of Them Days starring Keke Palmer and SZA (now available on Netflix) and shares why it was the perfect film for her to watch this weekend. Alexa provides her long-awaited initial review of Mobland (Paramount+), and we end with a surprising recommendation: Bravo/Peacock's Love Hotel.
In which we discuss Sumner's grumpy week as well as our reactions to the casting of Harry, Ron, and Hermione for the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series. A good chunk of time is spent on our thoughts on a recent viral moment from Dear Media's Him & Her podcast in which the host proclaims that women should be publicly sharing how easy it is to get pregnant. This leads to a discussion of other problematic moments from the Him & Her Archives as well as a warning about the not-so-quiet political agenda that pervades throughout their content. In our last piece of news, we applaud Kylie Jenner's candor in sharing plastic surgery details in the comments of a TikTok. We take the week off from discussing F1 since they are taking the week off from racing. In the tennis world we discuss both the women's and men's quarterfinal matches and revisit the recurring discussion around the lack of women's tennis in the primetime schedule at Roland Garros. For the US vs UK topic of the week Alexa educates the Americans on the sport of netball. We wrap up with first thoughts around Love Island USA S7 E1.
In which we discuss Taylor's last coup, buying back her masters, the addition of another Hadid sister and why we are finding out about it now, and a bit more on Hailey Bieber's sale of Rhode. While discussing sports we majorly branch out to cover the NBA eastern conference finals since we have Alexa as a game 5 courtside correspondent. We bounce quickly over to Barcelona to discuss the last stop in F1's triple-header and the long-awaited dust-up between Max and George. From there we head to Roland Garros to cover some amazing tennis that is happening at the French Open (Paul! Taifoe! Svitolina! Alcaraz!) and we share the results of our US vs Commonwealth All-Time Tennis Hotties poll. In content we cover what the finally-for-real-this-time finale of S1 of Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV+.
In which we discuss Hailey Bieber's sale of skincare brand Rhode to e.l.f, F1, the American president's truly m*oronic and appalling policy around international student visas, and rumors that Ferrari has approached Red Bull goblin Christian Horner. In a tennis heavy episode we go over the results of our social polls abut French Open kits, the result of some r1 and r2 matches, and our reaction to Roland Garros doubling down on not scheduling women for night matches. For our US vs. UK topic of the week we draft American and Commonwealth all-time hotties of tennis. Head to @tomatotomato.pod on instagram to vote for the better team!
What's in Hailey Bieber's Bag from Vogue
Macron and le slap! What does it really mean? by Shane Watson for The Times
In which we discuss Alexa's return to college in the form of a cousin's graduation, Sumner's hyper-fixation on the breaking footage of French First Lady Brigitte Macron shoving her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, in the face (with two hands!!), and the briefest of check-ins with our two cursed couples of note: Billy Ray Cyrus + Elizabeth Hurley and JoJo Siwa + Chris Hughes. Now that Roland Garros is finally underway we have much to discuss in the world of tennis: our reactions to the draw and some early round 1 surprises, a disagreement over Jannik Sinner's Nike kit, and total agreement over Jack Draper's current haircut and practice kit. We recap F1's visit to Monaco, discuss the drivers' boredom, and the looming presence of Lando's rumored girlfriend. On the content front we cover S1E8 of Your Friends and Neighbors (we both thought it was the finale) and Sumner recommends The Talent by Daniel D'Addario. We wrap up with an auto-themed edition of US to UK world translator and an unexpected conversation about what we would each do if/when faced with an apocalypse.
In which we discuss the absolutely HUGE news that Sumner has a computer and therefore a mic, the viral online drama surrounding UK brand Odd Muse, Harry Styles with more charming behavior, and a cursory check-in with Cannes. In the tennis world there isn't much to discuss but Alexa covers F1 including the lore around the Monaco GP and why we are rooting for Charles Leclerc more than ever. We go really off script for the US vs UK topic of the week so that Sumner can monologue about something that's been weighing on her: the rumored romance between BBUK colleagues, JoJo Siwa (Dance Moms et al.) and Chris Hughes (Love Island UK S3). This counts because it is a transatlantic topic. In the content realm we cover why season 2 of Secret Housewives of Mormon Wives on Hulu may be better than season 1 plus Sumner shares two interesting articles that she read this weekend:
'We've Got a F--king Spy in This Place': Inside America's Greatest Espionage Mystery by Derek Owen and R.M. Schneiderman for Politico (if you like this article I recommend the book The Spy and the Traitor by Ben Macintyre)
Alone and Adrift in the Pacific by Alec Frydman for The Atlantic
And an 11th hour book recommendation: The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

We review potential UK vs US topics submitted by our listeners (spoilers: lot’s of beauty requests). We share our thoughts on Your Friends and Neighbors S1E7 and Georgetown alum Benito Skinner’s new Amazon show, Overcompensating.
In which we discuss the “redheads are black” trend taking over TikTok, Princess’s Catherine’s stance on the Beckham family feud, and our continuing hair transplant watch issued for Prince Harry. In sports we discuss Sinner’s utter domination in Rome as well as his off-court activities, the crowd’s love for Tommy Paul, and Italian belle of the ball Jasmine Paolini. In the F1 world we cover more off-track politicking and Carlos Sainz Jr’s star turn in Cannes. For this week’s top of the week we dive into a viral trend built for this pod: 100 Brits vs 100 Americans. We finish with a book recommendation (Husbands and Lovers by Beatriz Williams) and a surprisingly thoughtful conversation about the current state of mass-market literature.
In which we discuss the very online nature of Pope Leo XIV and our disappointment at a short conclave, Princess Kate’s Incredible VE Day look, and we award our second ever Man of the Week award to Senator Chris Murphy for dressing down ICE Barbie. In sports we discuss the absolutely bananas off-track drama happening at Alpine as well as the new Netflix doc, The Seat, following Mercedes rookie, Kimi Antonelli. In tennis we touch down in Rome, covering the big Iga Swiatek upset, Jannik Sinner’s glorious return, as well as his press-conference admission that he is single. We cover Part II of Amazon doc Molly-Mae: Behind It All and S1E6 of Your Friends and Neighbors. We end with some out-of-pocket TV recommendations and a Mother’s Day edition of UK to US word translation.
