So was the weather.

Talked Honor Rae and All the Skills, a lot about my pens, and a bit about Fallout 4 – along with the usual gaffing about the grasses and trees.

But not in pain. Oh, the weather was a bit on the lowery side as well.

I talked about Jason Hill’s Artisan series and Honor Rae’s All the Skills. Also – inevitably – Fallout 4.

Right at the beginning of the walk, a hen with about a dozen chicks came out of the shadows and crossed the road right in front of me. I wasn’t close enough to get a picture but it made my morning.

Cloudy sky. Foggy brain. Bread in the making. Talking about Fallout 4, Culinary King, and the state of the flora along the way.

Mostly just enjoyed being out in the air this morning. Lovely floral smells on the breeze – up until the end. Not sure what that smell was. Talked about Fallout, Culinary King, and Intermediate Wheatgrass.

Talked about Jacob Logan’s Culinary King, too much about Fallout 4 and Cait vs Danse as companions.

I talked about Rathweg’s book again, the numbers on my house, and the lovely petrichor this morning. Like the pencil shavings from the old school crank sharpeners.

Not just the external weather. I’m a bit foggy this morning, too.

Talked about trying to find self published authors, Gabriell Rathweig’s From Chef to Crafter…, and adventures in bread baking.

Storms coming in from the southwest. The overnight didn’t offer much by way of cooling. That’s pretty normal for this place.

The recorder worked this morning. I talked about Jerry Boyd, Fallout 4, and the grasses already forming up seed heads.

It’s that time of year where I need to walk at sunrise – or as near as I can get to it. I’ve been horrible about keeping to my values. I want to get back to them so – with luck and a tube of stick-to-it, we’ll start the year again today.
