Tommy Tom & 1 Mic

On This episode one of my best friends Keenan and I reconnect after the year that was 2020. We get right down into a lot of stuff from race, depression, some of our stupid decisions growing up in small town NY. Neither of pull our punches as we reflected on our lives up till now. To be honest we must've talked and gone down multiple wormhole that I could've made this a 3+ hrs podcast. Was a lot of fun and defiantly one be the last y'all will hear from Keenan as they'll be some projects coming he'll be involved with.

If you're looking for a power vocalist, allow me to introduce you to Gayle Donnelly. Celebrating her birthday as well as her 1st full album release ("10102020"), Gayle and I have a fun yet interesting convo about music, being a solo female artist, and some of her "neighbors" she likes to share on social media. Gayle was the 1st musician I didn't know before hand that I got to perform at one of my showcases and much like anyone who hears her, I was a fan from the 1st note she sang. PLEASE, check out and support this amazing woman debate album that she's been working on for nearly 20 years! This one, like every episode is a can't miss.

Comedy has always be an avenue for people with different voice to get out there an heard. Enter Ms. Naomi Eden. When I first met her she went by a different name and defiantly different pronouns. A comic who has undergone transitioning into someone she finally can smile it this I an interview to highlight her journey from American Idol to finding herself and comedy. This may be the most in depth interview yet on the Mic and its defiantly worth a listen as nothing is held back.

It's tough enough trying to get into comedy. Now imagine your married, with 2 kids, a full-time job and your usually the oldest guy at the Mic. Enter my boy Mr. Steve Pocaro Jr. We chop it up about being new to comedy and entering at an older age as well as the balancing act he has to navigate to make it work and to keep from having to sleep on the couch every night he gets home late. If you ever complained or used an excuse as to why "you can't do something" allow Steve to prove that where there's a true will there's always a way to make it work. Straight from hiding from his family in a park in his car this one is an entertaining yet motivation discussion from the 2 old guys in their respected groups.

We've finally reached the end of our journey of meet/talking with all of The Horsemen. A true Vermont boy, SircoBangz lets us into his journey in the music industry as well as some of the many trials he had to endure and grow from to become not just the man but the father he is today. Dedicated to the craft we talk about some of his goals as well as the unique tie his family has to his career. This was another fun one you don't want to miss.

1/2 of the "Better Off Drunk" podcast bye, Mike and Tommy chop it up about various topics including getting into comedy during the the year that was 2020, going to school with Pete Davidson, staying busy and of course, like most Staten Islanders, his inevitable move to Florida. Another fun convo an discussion with an up incoming comic who had to enter comedy very differently than most and a great example of committing to something even if the rest of the world goes to hell.
