Shemaiah’s Prophecy: The LORD says - Do not fight against your relatives. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’”  God is in control of everything; nothing takes Him unawares. Rehoboam is king for 17 years, and he is grooming his son, Abijah to be king after him.

Warning to the rich: do not cheat people out of their pay. Making money illegitimately by scamming people is against God's principles and ideals. Patience and endurance is God's way to chisel us and make us more loving and loving to each other too. The power of Prayer: God hears our prayers (Revelation 8:3,4)

Rehoboam inherits the kingdom from Solomon. He gets bad advice from younger guys who are far-removed from the burdens of life and work and instead says that he will double-down on taxes. The result: the northern tribes revolt under Jeroboam of Nebat. The kingdoms split: Israel in the North and Judah in the South.

Drawing close to God. Warning against False Judging others. Warning against blind and prideful self-confidence.

Visit of the queen of Sheba. Solomon's amazing wealth, grandeur and prosperity.

Controlling the tongue. Wisdom comes from God. God will reveal who He is through general revelation and then special revelation.

Solomon's many achievements. (Power, wealth, might, strength). Jesus' achievements (love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control, sinless, pure, salvation for all, gave his life for all)

A warning against prejudice - in any form or manner - is not acceptable or tolerable to Christ. Christ died for all. Faith without works is dead. The New Covenant --> complete faith.

The dedication of the Temple, and the Lord's response to Solomon's prayer.
