This week, Brooks and Alan record live in the same room for the first time! The two talk of an oversaturated TV market between DC and Marvel now that three comedy pilots have been ordered (plus a spinoff of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

In comic, the two review Gutter Magic #1, wrap up Secret Wars, still love Descender and discuss the tail end of Sweet Tooth. All that and much more.

Next week's Debut Review:

• Pencil Head #1 (of 5) - PENCIL HEAD is Ted McKeever's semi-autobiographical take on the whacked-out world of the comic book industry. Journey along as we witness protagonist Poodwaddle's trials and tribulations of working, and sustaining, his place in the absurd world of comics, where what happens behind the scenes is far more twisted, and bizarrely hilarious, than anything on the printed page.

As the title suggests, Brooks and Alan have seen Star Wars. They share their thoughts and continue on to take a look at Marvel's Patsy Walker and a slate of other books.

Next week's Debut Review:

• Dreaming Eagles #1 - Inspired by true events, Dreaming Eagles tells the story of the first African American fighter pilots to join the United States Army Air Force in WWII and whose humble beginnings in Tuskegee, Alabama propelled them into the deadly skies above Adolf Hitler's Third Reich. Not only were they instrumental against the Nazi war machine, but also braved an equally great challenge, overcoming everyday bigotry amongst their fellow American soldiers as well as civilians at home. High in the heavens, they fought a battle that would change their country and their world forever. Industry legend Garth Ennis (Preacher, The Boys, Hellblazer) joins artist Simon Coleby (2000 AD, The Authority) for this high-flying tale of love, war and family.
