IG Series droids were the most lethal droids out there...however, there's a rich history in Star Wars that makes them extremely interesting.

Did you know Boba Fett fought IG-88 and destroyed him? We actually see parts of the droid in The Empire Strikes Back with Vader and Luke on Bespin's Cloud City.

They almost took over the galaxy if Palpatine's Death Star hadn't been destroyed by Vader, Luke and the Rebels in Return of the Jedi.
