Publisher's Summary:
Every now and again, one comes across an audiobook that opens the heart and lets the soul sing. Such an audiobook is a window on the wonder and joy, the beauty and the depths of the world around us. Such an audiobook leads us from one jeweled insight to another, like the Genie giving Aladdin a tour of the treasure cave. Once found, such an audiobook joins a precious few in a privileged place on one's bookshelf, to be taken down, re-listened and savored over and over. Soul Medicine by Dr. Judith Boice is exactly such an audiobook. With exquisite prose, it transcends its minutes to become a heart's companion, delivering exactly what its title promises. Outstanding!

Judith Boice has a rare skill that few will ever grasp. She is a remarkable healer.
"Judith Boice has a rare skill that few will ever grasp. She is a healer with a in-depth understanding of the mechanics behind the art of healing.
From the wisdom of the elders which she has studied under, and her learnings of the complexity of traditional and modern medicine today, this medicine woman understands not only how to prescribe, predict results and with these mystic skills, heal those who come her way.
This Doctor of the ages also understands through her unique intuitiveness, the why that medicine in her bag works.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this candid self examination of my beloved friend Judith â and I am certain that you will also.
May we all, as does Dr. Judithâ

This book will sing to your soul.
Judith Boice has written essays which she has shared as a vocal blog on her local radio station for 10 years. These essays wander over so many life experiences one can hardly categorize this book as being about anything except life. Extremely honest and personal, Judith manages to bring her readers into an intimate place that is shared. I may never have been a single mother, but this lack does not alienate me from feeling deeply connected to her experiences in that role. To the contrary, she speaks to the common soul space that celebrates a life well lived.
I love this book! Judith's voice is lyrical and deep and fills me with delight. It is an uplift, no matter what subject her essays are addressing. I love "Animal Love", I"If I Were a Beautiful Woman", and "On Loan". These are more than musings on life because Judith takes her subject beyond the daily experience and into the deeper mystical essence that is the source of our life. Beyond the daily, and yet so grounded and of the daily life. Love Animal Love, if I Were a Beautiful Woman, and on Loan.
I dish them out to myself as I go to sleep. Sweet and delicious. I read a couple before bed, finding the pleasure in her poetic skill with language lulls me into a sweet relaxed state...but just one more...
A Musical Friend Shares an Unusual and Joyful Life
I was once honored to be stand partners with Dr. Judith, in the first violin section of the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra. Little did I know that I was sitting next to a person of such formidable literary talent. Her short essays are practically poetry in sentence form. She has one essay for each week of the year, split into the four seasons.
