In this episode, I discuss The Verbally abusive Relationship book. This book I feel should be read by everyone who is in or will be in a relationship. In the book, Patricia Evans explands the thinking of a person who might be abusing. She defines the different reality partners might be living in. She introduces the concept of personal power. A way of thinking that brings relation closer.

Never receiving validation from a parent has a huge impact on how we view ourselves throughout life, it did mine. I talk about my dirty little secret. How I felt like the dirty little secret of my dad. Though in reality, the dirty little secret was his. I’m learning on my path to recovery, what emotional responsibility is truly mine.
