Totally Booked Right Now

We cover the second book of the ACOTAR romantasy series, A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas! This episode covers the first half of part 2, The House of Wind. If you haven't listened to our previous ACOTAR episodes, you should probably go do that.

Feyre "slightly less depressed Velaris resident" Archeron has absconded to the City of Starlight. After getting over her rage that no one here has suffered the horrors of war, she agrees to help Rhysand and his inner circle with their mission against the King of Hybern. Feyre learns the world is much larger than her small human village and the small section of the Spring Court she was allowed to see. After visiting a creepy incarcerated being and narrowly avoiding getting turned into thread, Feyre travels to the Summer Court to put her bloodhound skills to the test to try to find the Book of Breathings and nullify the Cauldron. What could go wrong?

We cover the second book of the ACOTAR romantasy series, A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas! This episode covers part 1, The House of Beasts. If you haven't listened to our A Court of Thorns and Roses episode, you should probably go do that.

Feyre "severely depressed and now immortal" Archeron is dealing with extreme PTSD and survivors guilt while the Spring Court is being rebuilt. As her wedding to Tamlin approaches, her nightmares and general lack of a will to live are becoming too much to bear. Rhysand calls in the bargain Feyre made with him Under the Mountain right in the nick of time. After Tamlin takes "keeping Feyre safe" too far and locks her in the house "for her own good" Feyre peaces out to the Night Court and gets further entangled in the political intrigues of Prythian. In case you haven't heard...war is coming.

We're catching up on our recent reads, the way we never get to read as much on vacation as we want, shows we're watching that have been inspired by our recent reads, and what we're looking forward to reading next. Were we feral readers this month? Are we in the middle of multiple books? Are we unhinged when it comes to series? Yes, yes, and yes! Laugh along as we catch up about our favorite topic: books!

We cover the romance People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry.

Even though they are total opposites, Poppy and Alex have been best friends ever since they drove home together after freshman year of college. For the last ten years they have taken a trip together every summer and it is always the highlight of the year for both of them. That is, until two years ago, when they ruined everything and haven't spoken since.

Poppy has been struggling at work and realizes the last time she was truly happy was two years ago, with Alex. So she convinces Alex to take one last trip with her to try to set things right. If she can just ignore the pesky little truth that has always been the unspoken thing between them...

Smut's up, everyone? This episode covers some of the most unhinged smut we've read. Are we saying all of it was good? Absolutely not! Get ready for laughs, euphemisms, and insane plot devices!

We cover the romance Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn.

A year ago, Meg Macworth, a hand-lettering small business owner, hid the word "mistake" in Reid Sutherland's wedding program. Now Reid is back and he wants to know how Meg knew his marriage would fail. Meg, who has a looming deadline and a bad case of creative block, doesn't have time for this - unless Reid can help her find some inspiration.
