Sunday Burquest’s life changed forever the day she heard the words, “We have your test results and we’re sorry to tell you that you have invasive ductal carcinoma.” At the young age of 40 year with four children she made the decision she would fight the cancer with every ounce of strength she could muster. After enduring multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and even a bout with depression, she earned the title breast cancer survivor. Through the process Sunday discovered she was much stronger than she’d imagined and was braver than she ever thought possible, she found grit. Just two years later she also survived 35 grueling days on the Emmy award-winning reality TV series Survivor Millennials vs Gen-x. Sunday’s story didn’t start there, like most women she’s survived much more, from heartache and depression, to loss and confusion, she’s experienced it all. Relatable and authentic, Sunday believes every woman possess grit and she is passionate about leading her audience on a journey to discover that grit for themselves.
