Town Meeting, a Gilmore Girls Rewatch Podcast

Created by Emily, Lisa, and Sandra

Oh, hello, again. Much like the ever back and forth mattress, so is this episode. Re-recordings and tech issues aside, we did like this episode, we swear! It's just haunting us in our dreams. Also in this episode: discussions about loneliness, freedom, and sometimes, just wanting your mommy.

So turns out this episode is called "Ballrooms and Biscotti," we apparently didn't feel like saying that in the episode discussion. I promise there was no editing that removed Emily humming "Que Sera" in the background of Sandra's reference.....we have a 2000's pop punk princess, and Lisa deep dives into the Europe trip. Join us this week for the bits! Thankfully, with no disclaimers.

We're Baaaackkkk!!!!! A fantastic dinosaur movie (though not at all mentioned in this episode), and we have a new co-host joining us! We hope you all will give a super warm welcome to Lisa, who is filling in now that Jess has moved on to some super amazing things in her life! For our first episode back, we somehow start off with a Mary Poppins episode? Emily also advertises how to start a fight with her (host, not Gilmore), we discuss the role models that are Rick and Dick, Jacksons artistic abilities, and Luke's unknown super power, at least when it comes to Lorelai.

Disclaimer because technology hates us: Unfortunately Lisa's audio stopped recording about 15 minutes from the end of the episode, so with some fancy editing it still has a good flow, but unfortunately we lost her talking points during that time. This mostly includes that last couple of minutes of episode discussion and then towns person of the week. We promise we did not just start ignoring her! We now have a back up going at all times so hopefully this will not happen again.

Hello, listeners! We are back! Er, sort of. Jess, our lovely co-host and friend, has decided to step down from the pod. We send her so much love and gratitude for all the wonderful podcasting she's done over the years, including hyping Jackson up, giving us intel on makeup and hats, and of course, calling us the b-word (we swear there's no drama!)

Join us this week as we delve further into the Lord of the Rings/Naked Guy/Digger Stiles episode as we explore past Nickelodeon stars (was anyone else obsessed with Avan Jogia like Sandra was?), dramatic af novels (seriously... we have to attach a warning to the episode because of it!), and all things Chanel N°5 (aka how to smell *rich*).

Serious Content Warning: In Emily's section, the book Atonement by Ian McEwan is discussed. There is mention of sexual assault, both real and fictional within the context of the book, so take heed. If you need to skip the section, Fashion with Jess starts at 19:30.

It's the Lord of the Rings Episode! No, wait. It's Digger's First Episode! Um, Naked Man Episode? Well, friends, it's all of the above, but to the TM Gals, it's the Boujie Episode (seriously, take a shot every time we say the word boujie!)

Join us as discuss college parties, crudités, and classes. Slight content warning, near the end of the episode, we do go into Sookie's pregnancy fears and topics of pregnancy and depression are discussed. If you need to skip, please do so!

The Bits! Sandra lets us know who is alive and who is actually dead from the girls argument, talks about a joke, a line from a Luke and Lorelai convo, and a guest star! Jess dives into fashion and can totally rock a polo who can fix your car! Join us for the Yale Years!

It's Taylor Time! Er, Town Meeting time, actually. Come join us as Sandra explains the Sophia bit, Emily tells us all about the sarcastic queen Daria, and Jess begrudgingly talks about Taylor. Also in this episode: Jess's punishment for sucking at summaries (don't show her I said this!), Sandra stumbling over her pronunciations of multiple last names, and Emily laughing her way through our embarrassment.
