Folks up north have had the long-running misfortune to be represented by someone who seemingly won’t stop until more of the northwoods is open to be bulldozed, paved over, or dug up. US Rep. Tom Tiffany was in the state legislature when he led the charge to weaken pollution rules for mining. Now he’s helping a right-wing industry group come into Oneida County and rewrite the long-term plan for economic development so that it’s harder for residents to keep their land in conservation programs.
