My neighbor and coworker Mike left a few weeks ago to return to the U.S. He worked in China for nine years. In his honor I'm re-posting this interview I did with him 2 1/2 years ago.

TQ 023 Michael from the U.S. (Replay)

Mike is from the U.S. state of Colorado, a state in the west which is famous for mountains. However, as you'll hear in this podcast, when he was a kid he lived in the flat part of the state. You'll also hear him talk about the vegetable lady that we both buy veggies from at the nearby market  and about how squid reminds him of the movie "Aliens". In addition, we talk about the sport called hockey, which in Chinese is "ice ball", and you'll hear me sing the beginning of a Christmas song, but sadly I sing it out of tune.
