Born in Quebec City and raised in Vancouver, Melissa-Sue Methven's journey spans continents, careers, and profound personal transformation. Her early career as a flight attendant took her around the world, serving on both commercial and private aircraft where she crossed paths with a former U.S. President, celebrities, and business leaders.
In 2006, love called her to Wasilla, Alaska, where she rebuilt her professional life, becoming a Dental Hygienist and working alongside her husband Scott in their family practice. Together, they built not only a successful business but a beautiful family with their children Sophia and Mateas.
When tragedy struck in March 2022 with the loss of her husband to suicide, Melissa-Sue transformed her grief into purpose. Today, she channels her personal experience into powerful advocacy for suicide prevention and survivor support. As the author of "The Truth Behind the Smiles," an international speaker, breathwork facilitator, and practicing dental hygienist, Melissa-Sue embodies resilience and healing.
